But a network of 6,000 people working in silos is only a fraction of what it could be as a connected collective.<\/p><p>This role is a pioneering and strategic mandate: to build, from the ground up, the vision, systems, and relationships that transform Equitas\u2019 alumni into a global community and movement advancing equality and social justice together.<\/p><p>The Senior Officer will design and lead the development of Equitas\u2019 alumni ecosystem creating the infrastructure, value proposition and engagement model that makes alumni want to connect, collaborate, and contribute. This includes shaping how the community functions, what it offers, and how it generates meaningful impact for both alumni and the broader human rights movement.<\/p><p>As part of the Impact and Innovation Team, the Senior Officer acts as a movement builder\u00a0and strategic connector matching people, ideas, and opportunities across regions. The role aims to unlock the full potential of Equitas\u2019 alumni as a collective force, strengthening human rights movements globally while contributing to Equitas\u2019 visibility, partnerships, and long-term growth.<\/p><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Tasks and main responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><h4>Alumni mobilization and community development<\/h4><ul><li>Design the vision\u202fof Equitas\u2019 global alumni community: what it looks like, how it functions, and what makes it meaningful and engaging<\/li><li>Develop and communicate a\u202fclear value proposition\u202ffor alumni participation and collaboration<\/li><li>Build and manage community engagement systems and platforms (including CRM and digital tools), ensuring readiness for\u202fcommunity management at scale<\/li><li>Create and\u202ffacilitate\u202finitiatives that bring the community to life (e.g., networking spaces, thematic groups, peer exchanges, events)<\/li><li>Develop strategies that encourage\u202falumni-to-alumni engagement, with the goal of building a progressively self-sustaining network<\/li><li>Lead recognition and visibility initiatives that highlight alumni contributions to human rights<\/li><li>Ensure inclusive,\u202fequitable, and meaningful participation across regions and identities<\/li><li>Foster a\u202fsafe, responsive, and trauma-informed community space, recognizing that alumni may seek support, share challenges, or be in vulnerable contexts<\/li><li>Promote resilience, ethical engagement, and\u202fappropriate referral\/support\u202fpractices<\/li><\/ul><h4>Partnership development and global visibility<\/h4><ul><li>Identify\u202fand cultivate partnership opportunities\u202femerging\u202ffrom the alumni community (e.g., collaborations with alumni-led organizations, institutions, or networks)<\/li><li>Strengthen Equitas\u2019 global positioning by mobilizing alumni as\u202fleaders, experts, trainers, and advocates<\/li><li>Support the development of\u202falumni leadership capacity\u202fto sustain and grow the network beyond direct institutional support<\/li><li>Collaborate\u202fwith the Communications team to amplify alumni stories and Equitas\u2019 global impact through storytelling, media\u202fcontent\u202fand campaigns<\/li><li>Coordinate alumni involvement in Equitas\u2019 global events, panels, and advocacy initiatives to enhance visibility and impact<\/li><\/ul><h4>Resource mobilization and strategic growth<\/h4><ul><li>Collaborate with Development and Program teams to\u202fidentify\u202fand engage alumni as\u202fdonors, ambassadors, or connectors to funding opportunities<\/li><li>Design and test innovative models for alumni contributions (e.g., mentorship, sponsorship, knowledge exchange)<\/li><li>Contribute to resource mobilization strategies in alignment with organizational priorities, ensuring clarity and coordination with fundraising functions<\/li><li>Explore sustainable models that strengthen the long-term viability of the alumni network<\/li><\/ul><h4>Communication, storytelling and knowledge sharing<\/h4><ul><li>Plan and deliver consistent communications to alumni through newsletters, online platforms, and social media<\/li><li>Develop content that highlights the collective impact of the alumni network on advancing equality and social justice<\/li><li>Support the documentation and dissemination of good practices, success stories, and learning from alumni initiatives<\/li><\/ul><h4>Monitoring, evaluation and learning<\/h4><ul><li>In collaboration with the Senior\u202fManager\u202f- Impact and Accountability,\u202festablish\u202findicators and tools to measure alumni engagement, visibility outcomes, and partnership development.<\/li><li>Collect and analyze data to inform strategy adjustments and\u202fdemonstrate\u202fthe value of alumni engagement for the organization.<\/li><li>Produce regular progress reports, success\u202fstories\u202fand recommendations for strengthening Equitas\u2019 alumni strategy.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Others<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Contribute to\u202fstrategic planning, program\u202fdesign\u202fand proposal development where alumni engagement or partnerships are relevant<\/li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by the\u202fSenior\u202fManager\u202f- Impact and Accountability<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Who are you?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2><p>This position is for you if&#8230; <br \/>You are passionate about human rights and social justice.
