The message is clear: one cannot thrive without the other. A sustainable prosperity is not possible without social justice, and respect for human rights is the foundation of any just and economically resilient society.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>The event took place at Equitas&#8217; offices and brought together nearly 40 people on site, with up to 100 people joining online. <\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<span class=\"EOP SCXW2795484 BCX8\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">The panel, featuring <strong>Arshadha Subair<\/strong> from Sri Lanka, <strong>Cass Elliot<\/strong> and <strong>Kerlande Mibel<\/strong>, both from Canada, and<strong> Mamadou Aliou Bah<\/strong> from Guinea, was moderated by <strong>Jean-S\u00e9bastien Vall\u00e9e,<\/strong> Director of Education and Communications at Equitas. She reiterated that the economy must be a tool for human well-being, not the other way around. Failure to respect rights creates instability, which hinders the investment needed for growth. In his view, exclusion, particularly of women, deprives countries of immense economic potential. He also highlighted the poor redistribution of natural resources and the burden of debt, which reduces the scope for social investment. An educated, healthy population that is free to express itself is the ultimate magnet for sustainable investment.
